Game Report

The Victoria Shamrocks got back on the winning track edging the home town Delta Islanders 9 - 6 at Ladner Arena on Saturday evening.

The Rocks built up a 5 - 2 lead at the end of the first quarter and then held the 3 goal difference throughout the game. Both teams scored 2 goals in each of the final two periods.

Chad Evans continued his early season form scoring four goals for the winners. Tom Graham had a pair of goals for the Islanders, while teammate Tyler Hara setup 3 goals.

Ray Hodgkinson blocked 29 shots in the Shamrocks net, while Ben Salter stopped 34 shots for Delta.

Victoria is staying the night on the Mainland and visiting Coquitlam tomorrow while Delta will travel to the Island to play Nanaimo Timbermen next Friday night.
